Es folgten bis Dato 91 weitere Siege, 4 Championships. 777Starts legte Jeff Gordon am Stück hin ( Rekorde ). Er gewinnt 3 mal das Daytona 500 ( jüngster Sieger bis 2011 ) sowie 5 mal das Brickyard 400 ( Rekorde ). Die meisten Siege konnte er in Martinsville für sich mit insgesamt 8 einfahren. Er schaffte es über $100.000.000 Preisgeld ein zu fahren und gewann als zweiter Fahrer die Winston Million 1997 nach Bill Elliott. Seine beste Season gelang ihm 1998 mit insgesamt 13 Siegen und dem dritten Titel nach 1995 und 1997. Sein letzter Titel gewann er 2001. Der einzige Fahrer, der über 20 Jahre den selben Sponsor mit DuPont hatte, bis diese Firma verkauft wurde. Vom ersten Tag an ist er im Team Hendrick Motorsport.

Put the Glen, Pocono in the chase. Vegas is a good last regular season race. Add Nashville, Kentucky, and Montreal/Mexico. get rid of dates in Atlanta, Texas, Michigan, and Phoenix. Maybe put Richmond in the chase and get rid of the other California date. This would add variety, making the whole season more interesting. And FOX gets the whole season. I can’t take ESPN.
